The Piovra XL is a specially designed backpack for transporting spearfishing and free diving gear. It has a main compartment large enough to store a pair of long fins (up to 110 cm | 43.3 in) with a ventilation net. It can also accommodate a wetsuit, mask, snorkels, belt, and various free diving gear. The zipper closure has dual zipper sliders with eyelets for padlocks. Additionally, there is a secondary cooler-type compartment for storing cold drinks or fish. The front of the bag features a zigzag elastic cord with an adjustable locker for quick storage, while both sides have two elastic bands for securing spearguns.

The shoulder straps have a height-adjustable sternum buckle chest strap, and there is a side handle for easy lifting, as well as a wear-resistant bottom. The top hook allows for the bag to be hung. When the bag is empty, the volume can be reduced thanks to the lateral compression straps.

The Cressi Piovra fin backpack bag is made from 900/600 denier with 6P free coating and has a black strap made from 900 denier reversed. The zipper closures are SBS #10 with pull tab leashes for easy access. The bottom of the bag is made from anti-skid material, while the lining is 210 denier. The Piovra is designed in Italy by Cressi and manufactured in China. Cressi, an Italian brand, has been a pioneer in scuba diving, snorkeling, and swimming equipment since 1946.
